Pillsbury United Communities (PUC)

Pillsbury United Communities (PUC) is a non-profit based in Minneapolis, MN with a mission of working with community to create enduring change toward a just society. My role as the Lead Visual Designer is to manage and expand on the updated branding that was introduced in 2019 and create a more cohesive system across our programs, centers, and social enterprises. The work has included creating brand-level designs like our annual report, an update to our strategic framework, and overseeing the visual elements to our marketing campaigns. Additionally, I've worked with folks in our community centers to create social templates to create brand continuity, designed event and program flyers, and branded programs.

The organization's rebrand was first introduced in 2019, with an updated set of core values and goals for moving forward. In May 2021, we created an update to those goals that highlighted current and upcoming initiatives. These were sent to funders and key agency supporters in the form of a z-fold brochure.

PUC needed an update to their fleet of vans used by program staff. The new vans needed to reflect the new branding and stand out on the road. We created a series of vans, each with different colors and images that reflected each of our communities.

In addition to the overall company branding, I work on graphics and materials for our programs and community centers. In 2021, I created a system of templates for the centers in Canva and trained staff on the features in Canva. The community centers' social media pages focus on center and community-specific events, programs, and news. Graphics are often tailored to meet the cultural and language needs of that community.
